The intention of this project came at a time after the pandemic had forced RMG to close their usual, and very popular, school programs. The experiment was to see whether they could effectively design and deliver a digital component to the school program offerings. And also whether educators would be interested in booking school programming at the RMG that substituted an onsite gallery visit with an online experience, at least as long as pandemic closures lasted, but also thinking ahead to the future and more hybrid programs for schools outside the catchment area. The experiment began by producing a short ‘trailer’ for one program, to test with teachers to see how interested they would be in booking.
