What did you want to find out at the start of your project?

How to build a presence on social platforms, specifically Instagram

What did you actually do?

Took a look at our existing assets, mainly our Youtube channel, then posting video interviews in batches

What was the most difficult thing you found?

Being realistic! We had to scale down bigger ideas to be feasible as a two-person team. Also jumping into social media without some sort of communications plan/goals.

What surprised you?

How many of our Legend Library videos have just been sitting in the vault (some for years) – yikes!

What is next for you and/or your organization?

Repurposing these videos to post on Instagram and YouTube shorts. Utilizing a social media analytic dashboard. Also building a strategic communications plan. What is our social media presence beyond these interviews?

Be realistic, honest and find a way to incorporate this program into existing work you’re doing/need to do.
